Finally Tiktok banned ! The government of India on 29 June announced the ban of 59 Chinese apps in the country. A day later one of the most popular short video applications. TikTok has been taken down from Apple App store and also Google Play store.
Nearly 119 million user was active on TikTok in India. It was among the top 10 apps on Google Play store and Apple App store. Users who still have the TikTok app on their mobile phone can still be able to use it . And post videos, however, the app can’t be downloaded anymore. Most other Chinese apps banned in India are still available for download. Officially the Tiktok is now banned in the country.
Why is TikTok banned?
The Indian government said the decision to ban the apps. It was in order to protect the data and privacy of its 1.3 billion citizens. And put a stop to technology that was “stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data in an unauthorised manner to servers outside India”.
TikTok has been facing a strong negative reaction by a large number of people, in India since the second half of May after users shared numerous recent TikTok videos on Twitter that appeared to promote domestic violence, animal cruelty, racism, child abuse and objectification of women. Many in India rushed to leave a low rating of the TikTok app in the Google Play Store to express their disgust — and the Android-maker had to intervene and delete millions of comments. TikTok Banned Temporary By Indonesian
Indonesia temporarily blocked the TikTok app on 3 July 2018 amid public concern about illegal content such as pornography and blasphemy that is not good for the youth. The app was unblock one week later after TikTok negotiated, making various changes, including removing negative content, opening a government liaison office, and implementing age restrictions as well as security mechanisms.
TikTok Banned Permanently In India
On 29 June 2020, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology banned TikTok along with 58 other Chinese apps stating a threat to the sovereignty and security of the country after the military clash in Ladakh.

How Dangerous is TikTok?
TikTok is Social media platform. One of the most Trending app in India. It was allow users to create videos up to 1 minute. The app was too addictive. There was a screen time feature on it through that you could enable if you don’t want you/ your kid to be using it too much. Its time consuming and waste your Valuable time.

Still, Alex Hern, U.K. technology editor for the Guardian, said that’s a concern with many social media platforms, including TikTok.
TikTok has a reputation for being a place where teen girls can “receive creepy to actively upsetting messages from older men,” Hern said. He said the platform has become safer for kids thanks to a feature that allows users under 13 to view videos but not share them. That option isn’t available in Canada, where you have to be 13 to open a TikTok account.
Is Tik Tok A Spy?
Steve Huffman, co-founder and CEO of online forum Reddit, called out TikTok as “fundamentally parasitic,” while also declaring that the video-making and sharing app is spyware.
Firstly Huffman launched his criticism against TikTok in a panel discussion at the Social 2030 venture capital conference with former Facebook public policy chief Elliot Schrage and former Facebook VP of Product Sam Lessin. The Reddit CEO had harsh words to sum up to the suggestion that Silicon Valley startups could learn from TikTok and its innovations, according to Tech Crunch.
Is TikTok Actually Safe To Use?
TikTok became the world’s most downloaded app on Apple’s App Store in the first half of 2018 moreover an estimated 104 million downloads in that time. in short in just one year, short videos in China have gone up by 94.8 million.
